ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Accessibility.
We want SharpBrain to be usable by as many people as possible. This page says what we do, what is still missing, and how to reach us.
This website
- Built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every release runs automated checks (axe) on the key pages, with colour contrast at or above 4.5:1 for text.
- Keyboard: every control is reachable and operable with the keyboard; the quiz accepts Enter to continue and the number keys 1 to 9 to pick an answer.
- Screen readers: landmarks, labelled form fields, radio and checkbox roles on the quiz, live regions for feedback and timers.
- Motion: every animation respects your “reduce motion” setting, including the aura background and the lobby section.
- Text scales with your browser settings; layouts work from 320px wide with no horizontal scrolling.
The app
At launch the app is built to support VoiceOver labels on every control, Dynamic Type for all text outside the game canvases, a reduce-motion mode that removes shakes and bounces, and colour-blind-safe game palettes (Stroop Cat uses word labels as well as colour). Apple's Accessibility Nutrition Labels on the store listing will state exactly what the shipped build supports; we will not claim a feature there that we have not tested on a device.
Known limitations
- Timed games are timed. Each game has a “no timer” practice mode planned for free play, but scores in a Snack depend on speed.
- The health screeners are plain forms and work fully with assistive technology. Share cards are images; their text is also available as plain text.
